Dr. Sonya Doherty, N.D., FMAPS (Cand.)
Dr. Sonya will be visiting the centre on the first Monday of every month to service clients local to our centre in York Region. To book at appointment call (905) 631-0880 and specify your location.

Dr. Sonya Doherty is a Naturopathic Doctor focused on biomedical treatment of neurodevelopmental delays including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Coordination Disorder and Down Syndrome. Dr. Doherty is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and has been practicing since 2003. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors as well as the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and has pursued extensive continuing education in the area of pediatrics. Currently Dr. Doherty is working to complete her fellowship with the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS). The MAPS training is a comprehensive program for physicians at the forefront of biomedical treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders.

Dr. Sonya Doherty is actively involved in educating the public, health care providers, educators and therapists on the importance of medical assessment and biomedical treatment of children and adults with neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Sonya Doherty is dedicated to bringing the most current research and advanced treatments to her patients.

Dr. Sonya Doherty lives in Burlington, Ontario, Canada with her husband and 3 young children.
