Social Skills
All Autism Unplugged Learning Centre programs are evidence based on the framework of ABA and utilize THRIVE, Social Thinking, Unstuck and On Target, Pivotal Response, and more. We help children to navigate and understand social expectations, explore thoughts and feelings, enhance self-regulation, and form connections with their peers.

All theme days include STEM activities, Growth Mindset and targeted opportunities to practice with peers in a sensory-enhanced environment.

Evidence based, ABA Group programs are eligible Service objectives under Core Clinical Services with the Ontario Autism Program.

Step into a world of color, creativity, and connection at NATURE’S PALETTE—an evidence-based social skills camp where the great outdoors becomes a canvas for growth and imagination. Designed to nurture both social development and artistic expression, this unique camp invites children to explore nature through tactile, hands-on projects, collaborative art, and nature-inspired maker activities.

From digging in the dirt and feeling different textures in nature to crafting with natural materials and creating art side-by-side, campers will engage their senses while building friendships and self-confidence. With garden adventures, outdoor games, and expressive group projects, each day is a chance to connect—with nature, with others, and with themselves.

Unleash imagination, spark creativity, and build meaningful connections at ARTFUL ESCAPE—an evidence-based summer camp designed to inspire young artists while nurturing essential social skills. Through creative exploration and guided skill-building, campers will dive into a vibrant world of artistic expression.

Creative Exploration & Skill Building – Campers will experiment with different art mediums (painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media) to develop their artistic skills and express their creativity.

Inspiration & Imagination – Through fun projects, storytelling, and guided activities, kids will learn to think outside the box, find inspiration in the world around them, and bring their ideas to life.

Confidence & Collaboration – Campers will gain confidence in their artistic abilities while sharing their work, giving and receiving positive feedback, and collaborating on group projects in a supportive environment.

Immersive Ocean Adventures – Campers will dive into the wonders of the ocean through hands-on activities, creative crafts, and interactive storytelling. From exploring mythical sea creatures to learning about real marine life, every day is an adventure beneath the waves!

Make a Splash with Hands-On Water Play! – From slip ‘n slides to water balloon relays, our camp is packed with refreshing activities that bring the ocean theme to life. Campers will dive into interactive water games, bubble experiments, and even create their own mini boat races—guaranteed to keep them cool and entertained all week!

Flex Your Best provides evidence-based, practice-proven lessons that teach foundational social concepts in a fun, engaging, and supportive setting. These concepts help establish a shared social vocabulary and promote success in everyday interactions.
Whether your child is neurotypically developing or has social learning differences, our program is tailored to meet a variety of needs — all while encouraging every child to shine in their own way.

An autism diagnosis is not required — Flex Your Best is for all children who want to grow their social skills in a welcoming, inclusive space. We celebrate neurodiversity and believe every child can benefit from learning how to better understand themselves and others.

Note: Week 1 is not a prerequisite for week 2, though it is highly recommended.
